aftercare instructions
-Keep your bandage on for 24–48 hours. 24 hours is okay, but 48 hours is better. It allows you to heal up a little quicker.
-When the bandage comes off, clean the tattoo with a small amount of white unscented soap and water using a fresh washcloth. Pat dry with a clean towel.
-Do not soak your new tattoo. Excessive moisture on a healing wound can cause scabbing. Scabbing can result in prolonged healing time and color loss.
-If the tattoo does scab, do not pick the scabs. Picking scabs may result in color loss.
Around 2 days after getting tattooed, your tattoo may become tight, dry, itchy, and flaky. This is normal. At this point you may start applying small amounts of unscented lotion. Too much lotion can have the same effect as getting the tattoo wet, so use it sparingly. Always wash your hands before touching your new tattoo.
-Keep your healing tattoo out of the sun for about one month. Healing skin has a tendency to burn easily. Once healed, sunscreen will help protect your tattoo from the fading effects of sunlight.
